What is WCSU Your Money?
WCSU Your Money is a service provided by WestConn to help students make sound decisions regarding all aspects of their finances.
Who created WCSU Your Money?
WCSU Your Money is a project of WestConn’s Ancell School of Business as well as the Office of the Provost. It is a University imitative.
Where is WCSU Your Money?
The office is currently a website, Facebook group, Twitter feed, and email. Look for an actual office to open during the 2012-2013 academic year.
Are you commercial or affiliated with any banks or other financial products?
No. We operate under the auspices of WCSU and our mission is non-profit and geared towards student education.
We are grateful to Union Savings Bank for providing a grant that helped us establish the office and for their work to ensure that Connecticut’s students are well-educated in personal finance.
That being said, there are no materials from Union Savings Bank in our offices and no attempt by us to use WCSU Your Money to sell the bank or their products. The above paragraph is the sole mention of Union Savings Bank at this site.
Can I meet with a financial advisor?
We hope to open offices on both campuses during the 2012-2013 school year. You would then be able to meet with a non-biased but capable financial advisor to discuss your concerns about how to manage your finances and pay for school.
